Role Responsibilities
People Leadership
• Leads the hiring process by identifying, interviewing, and selecting teacher candidates; actively builds a pipeline of potential talent.
• Conducts classroom observations and performance evaluations, offering constructive feedback that supports professional growth.
• Oversees the teaching team to ensure the First Chapter Academy curriculum is implemented with consistency and in alignment with our educational standards.
• Provides coaching and mentorship with a growth mindset, fostering a culture of learning and development.
• Responds to staff concerns with empathy and objectivity, recommending positive solutions and actions.
• Develops and communicates weekly team schedules to ensure proper coverage and staff coordination.
• Manages daily classroom ratios and ensures compliance with licensing and safety standards.
• Oversees new hire onboarding, including all documentation and employee file maintenance in accordance with state licensing regulations.
• Monitors center-wide schedules to ensure staffing ratios are always maintained and labor costs align with budget goals.

Family & Community Engagement
• Leads engaging tours for prospective families, highlighting our unique curriculum, dedicated staff, and warm, nurturing environment.
• Maintains strong, consistent communication with families about their child’s progress and classroom experiences.
• Executes family engagement initiatives such as “parent pleasers” and special events like Show and Tell.
• Performs regular audits to ensure all student and staff records are up-to-date and compliant with licensing requirements.
• Ensures the center environment meets all health, safety, and cleanliness standards per state and local regulations.
• Builds professional relationships with licensing representatives and supports center inspections and evaluations.
• Manages documentation and reporting of any incidents or accidents.
• Oversees proper handling, storage, and administration of medications.
• Conducts and documents monthly emergency drills to ensure center preparedness.
• Manages the enrollment process and new family paperwork in accordance with all compliance standards.

Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a center leadership or management role (2+ years strongly preferred) At Least 2 Years of experience in a Childcare
• Professional classroom experience with children from infants through preschool
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is highly preferred
• Solid understanding of state licensing rules and regulations
• CPR and First Aid certification strongly preferred
• Must meet all state-specific requirements for the position
